'MoonCustard started with an earnest dream: importing true Neapolitan pizza to Rome. The Moretti clan established our pizza shop in 1985, shaping it into a modest, family-operated venture with recipes passed down through the ages.
Bella Moretti, our progenitor, mastered the craft of pizza creation on her Italian pilgrimage, learning from expert pizza chefs in Naples—the cradle of pizza. Once she came back to the UK, she was resolved to offer an authentic Italian pizza experience, adhering to long-standing methods and top-notch ingredients.
What emerged as a humble pizzeria with just 12 seats has flourished into an esteemed neighborhood fixture, yet our dedication to excellence in quality and originality has remained constant. We continue the legacy of wood-fired oven baking, preparing our dough from scratch each day, and meticulously choosing the best ingredients available.
Today, 'MoonCustard is still under the ownership and management of the Moretti lineage, with the newer generation at the helm of our enthusiastic crew. While we've adopted contemporary innovations, at our core, we're still about crafting delectable, bona fide pizza that gathers folks together.
